Half a year after European Union decided that Microsoft has no right to "impose" your browser on own operating system (Still weird) and reached a compromise "Windows Browser Choice ” it looks like this (ie compromise) will come alive at last.
Since March 1 2010 this tool (Tool) which allows you to choose browser default will be among updateURLs which Microsoft operating system periodically Windows 7 (It will run automatic on computers where updateare set not to ask for confirmation to be installed). After installing it, users will notice that Internet Explorer will be "cleansed" of taskbar (if found there) and a pop-up with an "exciting" title will "bloom" on the monitor: An important choice to make: your browser (Also a shortcut to this tool-choice will appear on Desktop).
Windows browser choice will display on the first page the most popular browsers compatible with Windows 7They are Internet Explorer 8 (Obviously) Firefox, Safari, Chrome si Opera (Their display is one Random). If one of these browsers and that is not your favorite, go to the next page to select the desired browser (if that ever you did not already made that choice ...).
PS - But it seems to me much ... let's say a waste of time? EU rules (NOT)!
