Perhaps you had to reinstall Windowsul. Or maybe you started a download at work and want to keep at home (or vice versa). Or maybe you have noticed that your friend downloads something interesting, but you can not wait for the download to finish. Or you have any other reason you want still incomplete to move a download from a PC to another.
How to resume a download on a different computer than the one that was started
- first of all you need torrent file that you start downloading you want to move it to another computer (in fact, it is compulsory to have that file, otherwise you can not resume the download where it left off)
- then obviously you need a torrent client with which to continue downloading (utorrent for example)
- and last but not least a USB-Stick
1. Copy the downloaded torrent file that you want to work on USB stick
2. Then go to folder default the download the torrent client you use (for BitTorrent and uTorrent is located in C: Usersuser_nameDownloads) And copy the stick folder (or file) that contains data downloaded using torrent or (usually it has the same name as torrent file)
3. Install your client (if it is not already installed) to the computer you want to continue downloading, then move half-downloaded file (Or folder it contains, if applicable) folder default the download the client.
4. Then click on Fillet (in the upper left corner of the torrent client)> Add this torrent (Or double-click the torrent respectively).
Download is checked then resumed at exactly the point where it reached the other computer.
Note: Tested for BitTorrent and utorrent on an operating system Windows 7.
