One of the great advantages of Start Screen's in Windows 8 is that we can create shortcuts in it for any application or folder I used to do more often, so that they can be earlier access when needed.
Unfortunately option to fix them (pine) in Start Screen not available for files (images, audio files or video, documents), But this can be solved quite simply with a Registry tweak.
How to add Pin to Start in Context File menu in Windows 8?
- Open the Registry Editor (use the key combination Windows + R to open RunThen type regedit and click OK) and navigate to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT \ * \ shellin right pane create a subkey (under shell) Which they called pintostartscreen
- then, in the left pane (the key's pintostartscreen) create these input string, Who will give the specified values:
* Description with value @ Shell32.dll,-51202
* MUIVerb with value @ Shell32.dll,-51201
* MultiSelectModel with value Single
* NeverDefault (Do not give any value)
- under pintostartscreen create another subkey, you will be called commandAnd in its right pane create input string DelegateExecute whom you give value {470C0EBD-5D73-4d58-9CED-E91E22E23282}
- then close the registry editorAnd right click on any file in your computeul You will notice that the menu option will appear Pin to Start.
If you wish to wipe this option from the right click menu of files, delete the key pintostartscreen.
Note: Before making any changes to the system registry, it is recommended to create a backup of your device to avoid possible unpleasant consequences (eg system failure).
