How to convert FAT32 formatted partitions to NTFS, in Windows XP

If you have a hard-disk formatted FAT32 and you do not want to reformat to change NTFSYou can convert it using Windows Convert Tool (you should know that, most likely, the system after conversion, even though it will be NTFS, will not work at optimal parameters, especially if the hard disk was formatted in FAT32 under an older version of Windowsacquis). The method is one of the simplest (but not the best!) Used to convert a system Windows XP FAT32 in one NTFS:

1. go to Home ->Run and type cmdThen press Enter.
2. The window Command Prompt that opens, type Convert C: / FS: NTFS and press Enter.

cmd
If the hard partitiondisk- that you want to convert is not C:, replace in the command above with the correct letter (eg D:).

3. Enter the name of the hard drive. If you do not know, type Vol C: (Or Vol D: depending on the drive letter) to find out.
4. Reply with Y (Reply Y) all the follow commands above. Then RESTART.

Since this action takes time to perform, it is recommended to let the computer do the conversion without any intervention on your part
