If you are using Windows 8/8.1Certainly have noticed that when you enter a password anywhere in the system, and also in Internet Explorer 10 si 11, or icon in the form of an eye (or signal Wi-Fi) Is displayed at the right end of the field where you enter the password. If you click on this icon, font Passwords that are normally hidden under some points (or asterix sites) Are displayed.
While there are users who think this (display real characters that make up the password) as helpful (and most probably is when we are not sure if I entered the correct characters), there are situations where characters display options can be more of a security issue (One possibility is that a third person to click on icon revealing After the password has been entered and find out what it was). How can we disable the option to display passwords in Window and Internet Explorer?
- open registry Editor (type: regedit in Run and give Enter)
- navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ Software \ Policies \ Microsoft \Windows
- under the key Windows, Create a new key that you call Credit
- under Credit, in the right pane, create entry DWORD DisablePasswordReveal, To which you give value 1
- then close regedit si restart the system. After the restart, the revealing (password) icon will no longer be displayed.

Note: If you want to re-enable the password display option, enter the DisablePass entrywordReveal the value 0, or delete the CredUI key created.
