Fall brings good news for Xbox gaming fans. Microsoft has announced the launch of three new versions of the Xbox Series X and S consoles, available from October, while also opening the pre-order list.
In terms of prices there are not too many surprises, and the fact that the new Xbox series is released in the run-up to the winter holidays, sales are sure to be quite high.
Xbox Series X and S prices
The prices for the Xbox Series X and S are relatively decent. The white Xbox Series X model without an optical drive can be purchased for $449,99, and for those who need more storage space, Microsoft has launched a special edition Xbox Series X "Galaxy Black" with a space of 2TB storage, priced at $599,99.
For those who want a slim console but need storage space, the 1TB Xbox Series S can be had for $349,99. All three models will be available in the United States starting October 15th, with other markets to follow on October 29th.
The new Xbox Series X model without an optical drive is covered in a white coating, similar to that of the smaller console, the Xbox Series S, which is sold for $299. Although there has been speculation that Microsoft might improve the cooling system of this model, the company has not announced any hardware changes outside of removing the optical drive.
Microsoft and other retailers have already begun accepting pre-orders for all three variants of the Xbox console. The company has confirmed that these models will be available in all regions and markets where Xbox consoles are already sold, including many countries in Europe. So, even though in the United States, the new Xbox series will be available in stores two weeks before other markets, it is possible that retailers in Europe will accept pre-orders for the new generation of consoles.
These releases come at a busy time for Xbox Game Pass around the winter holiday season. Among the highly anticipated games to be released during this period are Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.
